Swift Summer Explorations Enrollment Open

Field Day - May 21, 8:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Come enjoy some fun in the sun with your child at Swift's Annual Field Day. Swift is currently seeking three parent volunteers from each classroom for the day. 3. Sunscreen (Please apply before coming to school.)

7. NO SANDALS or FLIP FLOPS (Running Shoes Only)
8. NO BATHING SUITS

5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony - May 24, 7:00 p.m.
Plan to attend this celebration of students completing the 5th grade and moving into life as a middle school student.

2012 Swift Gala Update

More than 275 guests gathered at the Atlanta Athletic Club in late March to participate in Swift's largest and most successful spring gala. Net proceeds from the event were nearly $58,000 and will be donated to the Campus Building Fund so that Swift can better serve current and incoming students. Congratulations to Gala Chair Tena Hargrove, Vice Chair Kim Masse and the Steering Committe who worked tirelessly from October through March to achieve this success! The Gala Committee would also like to thank our sponsors and donors.

Deadline to Participate in GOAL Scholarship Program is June 1

If you wish to receive the double benefit of a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on Georgia income taxes plus a federal charitable deduction, you must act by June 1.  The $50 million allocation of tax credits from the Georgia Legislature is expected to be depleted by August 1. There is a 60-day cycle from the date you apply for the tax credit until it is granted. In the past, funds ran out in late October. Due to the popularity of the program, nearly $20 million has already been claimed. Some Swift families had their applications returned to them last year because the money ran out. Please contact Karen Buttermore at school if you have misplaced the mailing sent earlier.
